NEPAL ANNAPURNA PANORAMA

8 days Trek and 4 nights in Kathmandu


Day 01
Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be greeted by a representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 02
Free day in Kathmandu to make final preparations for your trek. If you feel that you are
adequately prepared and would like to have an escorted sightseeing tour of Kathmandu
city, we will be glad to arrange it for you. Please ask for this service from our
representative upon arrival.

Day 03
Drive to airport for the flight to Pokhara. Meet your Sherpa Crew and drive to Pati Chour.
It's two hours scenic drive. The lunch will be served here while your duffel bags will be
packed with others made the load for the porters. After lunch climb gradually to Bajung
School where your camp will be set up or go little further and camp. Sometimes the flight
Pokhara will be delayed. In that case the lunch will be at Himalayan Journey's premises in
Pokhara

Day 04
Today you have a full day of gradual climb through Rhododendron forest. A beautiful
morning's walk through the forest takes you to Dobate, a small place on the ridge where
lunch will be served. From here the spectacular views towards Annapurna and
Machhapuchare can be seen. After lunch ascend to the camp at Shivalaya. Locals also call
this place Shirpu. There is a small temple of Lord Shiva. The people of nearby villages
come over to worship in the temple.

Day 05
After breakfast, ascent through Phulbari, which is in Nepali " Flower Garden". From the
trail there are occasional views of the beautiful Annapurna range. Since there is no source
of water available on the way, we need to take the packed lunch for today. At the end of the
day we will descend about one hour to get the camp at Teen Pokhari (Jaljale)

Day 06
Morning a short climb to Poon Hill, a beautiful place from where you can see the spectacular views of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak and many others. If you
get here early enough, you may be able to see the sun rise over the Himalaya. Rest of the day can be spent either at Poon Hill or one hour down at Ghorepani (2840 m) where your camp will be set up.

Day 07
From Ghorepani the trail climbs south through the rhododendron forest. From the trail the Mountains, including the Machhapuchare, are visible. After crossing Deorali Pass, you will descend to Tadapani
for the camp.

Day 08
Today most of the time you will walk through rhododendron forest. The views of
Annapurna South and Machhapuchre are spectacular. You get to Ghandruk for Lunch, a
Gurung Village (home of the famous Gurkhas). After Ghandruk you descend steeply to
Modi Khola and again climb up to reach the camp at Landruk.

Day 09
A short and easy walk takes you to Austrian Camp. Camp

Day 10
Descend to Khande, the waiting vehicle will take you to Pokhara and fly out to Kathmandu.

Day 11
Free day in Kathmandu or optional sightseeing tour.

Day 12
At an appointed time transfer to airport for the flight back home.

The best season to visit Nepal is from October to April when it is sunny and warm although temperatures in the lowlands can fall to freezing at night during the winter. In the high mountains there is snow and ice all year but a tropical climate prevails in the foothills. Monsoon period is June until September.
