These notes tell you a little more about some airlines and their typical seat pitch. Airlines often use different aircraft on different routes and as the standards of in-flight comfort are changing all the time, the information given above should be used as a guide and is not necessarily applicable to all services. EMIRATES - Launched in 1985, Emirates' commitment to excellence has won them over 190 international awards. In-flight service is of the highest standard and they boast one of the youngest fleets of aircraft in the skies featuring spacious Boeing 777's and Airbus A330. Emirates was the first airline to fit a personal video system in every seat in all classes.
