Kenya - Cheetah Safari

NAIROBI - AMBOSELI - ABERDARE - SAMBURU - LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA - NAIROBI

9 Days

Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive at Nairobi International Airport where you are met and transferred to your hotel for overnight. The Jacaranda Hotel or equivalent. (B&B)

Days 2 & 3: Amboseli National Park
On the morning of day 2 after breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park and the legendary Mt. Kilimanjaro where you will spend the next two nights. Home to the proud and brightly painted Masai tribe, the acacia woodlands and grasslands of the park shelter an abundance of game including buffalo, lion, cheetah, hyena, zebra and wildebeest. Morning and afternoon game drives in the park. Overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge. (BLD)

Day 4: Aberdare
Leave Amboseli to Outspan, via Nairobi. After lunch, drive to your tree hotel. Tonight, you will be able to watch game from your hotel balcony, which overlooks a floodlit waterhole. Overnight at Treetops Lodge. (BLD)

Days 5 & 6: Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast on Day 5, drive north to reach Samburu Game Reserve in time for lunch. You will spend the next two nights in this beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Overnights at Samburu Lodge. (BLD)

Day 7: Lake Nakuru
Leave after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru. Visit the world famous bird sanctuary of Lake Nakuru National Park, a park also renowned for its conservation effort toward the black rhino and the thousands of flamingoes which flock to the lake. Lunch and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge. (BLD)

Days 8 & 9: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Driving across the Great Rift Valley on Day 7, reach Kenya's most famous Game Reserve, Masai Mara, in time for lunch. Spend the days exploring the rolling hills and plains for a chance to spot black-maned lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, and buffalo along with varied species of hoofed animals. Overnight at Mara Keekorok Lodge. (BLD)

Day 10: Nairobi
After breakfast return to Nairobi where you arrive in time for lunch, which is served at the famous Carnivore Restaurant where all kinds of game meat can be tasted. Transfer to the airport afterwards to catch your outbound flight. In the event of a late evening flight, an optional day room can be reserved for you to relax and freshen up before you transfer to the airport. (BL)

Optional flight back to Nairobi on Day 9: $180/person.
Maximum baggage allowance on flight is 15kgs.
