M'GOUN VILLAGES and VALLEY

Tour season from October to June.

Day 1:
Arrive Marakech. Welcome and transfer to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Guests could discover Marrakech Jamaa El Fna Square by night if they want.

Day 2:
Breakfast at 6:30 AM. Leave Marrakech towards Ouarzazate, via the col of Tizi'n Tichka. Arrive Ouarzazate. Follow the valley of 1000 kasbahs and cross Skoura and Kalaàt M'Goona, the 'capital of the roses'. Lunch at Ait Youl . Then two hours trek to reach the camp area at Timkkit .

Day 3:
After breakfast, our mule caravan will allow us to cross a magnificent scenery full of contrasts; valleys and amandiers oasis via Tizi N'Okhenchouch. Lunch at Aka N'Askar. Camp at Tizi N' Imden. 6 hours trek.

Day 4:
Wake up early in the morning and continue the trek by visiting souk Tlate N'Ait Ahmed (a Berber weekly market). En route, see a very interesting gorge, flowers and Berber kasbahs with their very special architecture and viewing very nice landscapes. Camp in the Al Hot Kasbah. Folklore evening. 5 Hours trek.

Day 5:
After breakfast, leave camp crossing many Berber villages and trek through the M'Goun River (you may get wet feet). Arrive to the Timstiguite camp. 6 hours trek.

Day 6:
After breakfast we descend the M'Goun valley near the oued (river) Boutghrare, with its fruit trees and flower gardens. Overnight camping or in homes in Tabrkhachte. 4 hours trek.


Day 7:
After breakfast, meet our vehicles for return to Marrakech via Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8:
Transfer to the Menara airport for flight home.

Morocco can be visited all the year although the winter months can be wet in the north. The Atlas mountains have snow in the winter and so are best between April and October. The desert to the south of the Atlas is cooler between October and April.


Transfer from and to the Menara Airport Marrakech.
2 nights hotel in Marrakech (a nice 4 star) on half board basis.
Full board during the trek portions from day 2 to day 7.
3 bottles of mineral water per person / per day during the trek portions.
Overnight in Berber houses on night 6.
5 nights camping.
Transportation by Mini-van or Land Rover.
English speaking tour leader for a minimum of 6 participants.
A mountain guide for all the trek portions.
A staff for Mules cooking food and tents setting up.
Mules to carry luggage
All taxes.
