DAY 1 (Saturday)
CUSCO
Arrival in Cusco, center of the Inca world. Meet and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the morning free to acclimatize to the altitude (3,400 m.a.s.l./11,400 ft.). An afternoon tour of the and nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko and Tambomachay will educate you on the history of this astonishing city. Lunch and dinner on your own.
DAY 2 (Sunday)
CUSCO / URCOS / ANDAHUAYLILLAS / PIKILLACTA / TIPON/CUSCO
Early morning drive of about an hour to Urcos where a colourful andean market takes place. On the return drive visit the colonial church of Andahuaylillas with its renowned frescoes and the pre-Inca Wari site at Pikillacta - rest of the morning to explore the ruins. After lunch visit the Inca ruins at Tipon below Mt. Pachatusan - a series of water - fountains on the terraced hillside characterise this important site. In the late afternoon return to Cusco.
DAY 3 (Monday)
PIURAY / HUCHUY QOSQO
Very early departure to drive to the roadhead. A slow ascent brings us to the pass at Huchuy Qosqo - beautiful view of the peaks of Pitusiray and Sawasiray with the Urubamba Valley below. Descent to Huchuy Qosqo - one of the few standing three storey Inca buildings dominates this complex. Continue downhill to arrive at the Sacred Valley of the Incas, in the late afternoon, a vehicle will pick us up and transfer to our country inn.
DAY 4 (Tuesday)
MARAS / MORAY / OLLANTAYTAMBO
Visit Maras and Moray in the morning and walk down past the salt mines to the river valley. Maras is renowned for its colonial doorways having been an important trading town for the open pit salt mines in nearby. Moray is an Inca construction shaped as an amphitheatre. It is said that the area was used to acclimatize plants and domesticate them. In the afternoon visit the at Ollantaytambo and the Inca village of the same name - of the few vestiges of Inca design that can be appreciated. Lunch and overnight at a country inn dinner on your own.
DAY 5 (Wednesday)
OLLANTAYTAMBO / WINA WAYNA / MACHU PICCHU
We connect with the train to Machu Picchu. An ever narrowing gorge brings us to Km. 104 where we begin our guided hike on the famed Inca Trail. Past Chachabamba, a three hour ascent through highland grasses and small galleys, brings us to Winay Wayna. From here a winding trail though a cloud forest, which cuts across a ridge, brings us finally to the door of the sun, Intipunku with a spectacular view of the citadel of Machu Picchu below. Overnight at a hotel, dinner on your own.
DAY 6 (Thursday)
MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
After a full-day tour of the citadel we will return to Cusco in the afternoon train arriving in the evening. Transfer from the train station to your hotel. Dinner on your own.
DAY 7 (Friday)
CUSCO/OUT
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to an ongoing destination.
SEASON: March - December, departing any Saturday

SERVICES INCLUDED : Transportation, bilingual guides, breakfasts and lunches during full day excursions (hikes or river trips), lodging on double basis in comfortable country inns and entry fees to museums or archaeological sites during journey.

NOT INCLUDED: Lunches in the cities, dinners on the trip, alcoholic beverages, extras, taxes, tips, laundry service, additional tours, insurance and airline tickets.

March to December- departing any Saturday.


Transportation by vehicle to start and from the end of trek to your city of departure, hotel night at the beginning and end, two-man tents including sleeping pads, pack animals, kitchen crew and kitchen gear with all meals, bi-lingual guide on trek with first aid kit available.


Meals in the cities, alcoholic beverages, taxes, trips, extras, laundry service, additional tours, insurance, airline tickets (where applicable), sleeping bags, hiking boots and personal clothing and equipment.
