ChileWe've recently added Chile to the countries where we can provide activity and adventure holidays. Here are some itineraries in Patagonia which run as small group tours with regular weekly departures.
Patagonia Adventure This adventure starts at El Calafate and goes all the way down to Ushuaia, visiting Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, perhaps the two most emblematic mountains of Patagonia, Perito Moreno Glacier (only one in the world that shows a closure and rupture process), Torres del Paine National Park in Chile and eventually across the Magellan Strait into Tierra del Fuego to end our tour in the "city of the end of the world".The tour offers the very best of Patagonia travelling in an active way and enjoying the company of fellow travellers. 2012 price: please call Departures: there are small group departures every Saturday from October until April. International flight (not included) from £800.
Discovery Patagonia The tour combines the very best of Patagonia with the comfort of our fine selection of lodges in the area. We do not use Full Camps in this tour. The design of the program includes some moderate treks, which are performed at a slow pace with all the necessary stops, meaning you do not need to be really fit to take these trips. All treks include a mid way turn around point. We visit, hike and enjoy 2 of the most important National Parks of Patagonia, Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina and Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, both Worl Heritage by the UNESCO.The trip offers a perfect balance of outdoors and comfort, making special emphasis in the Natural History and discovery of Patagonia. 2012 prices: Please call Departures: there are small group departures every Sunday from October until April. International flight (not included) from £800
Patagonia Explorer Patagonia Explorer starts in the End of the World, in the mythical Ushuaia, on the shores of the Beagle Channel. We travel the Island of Tierra del Fuego in an unconventional, deeper way. We visit pioneer Estancia Harbeton, from where we set out to see Magellanic Penguins; and we visit Estancia Las Hijas, a real working sheep ranch. The crossing of the Magellan Strait put us back in the Continent and allows us to travel the southern section of Andean Patagonia. From the picturesque fishermen village of Puerto Natales; to Torres del Paine National Park with its perfect combination of granite spires, mountains, glaciers, forest and lakes; to the tourist village of El Calafate on the shores of Lake Argentino, where the Moreno Glacier permanently calves its blue ice on the water. 2012 prices: Please call Departures: there are small group departures every Monday from October until April. International flight (not included) from £800
