Here are some comments from our response checks. We really enjoy the good ones, and are always grateful for the not so good as they help to improve our service.

The comments below are included because they will give you a flavour of what Footloose can do and how we work – and because we like them.

India - Well, we are back…………I did want to take a few minutes of my time to write you and commend you and your office for running a first class operation. Since the day we (well Dick didn’t get there the first day, but that’s between him and the French) got there, I was very impressed with the efficiency of everyone over there, every time they were very punctual, very attentive and very polite. Your agent in India was fantastic, everything on the trek was just great, the staff, guides, cook, climbing guides, etc.

Stok Kangri was great, when I got to the summit, we could not see for more that 5’ away, but I guess I can not blame that on you guys, of course by the time we were back down in Leh, the weather was perfect, but can’t really complain, we had excellent weather for the whole first 10 days on the trekking portion. I will be looking forward to travel with you again in the future. You guys run an excellent operation. Felix Braverman

Costa Rica - We returned yesterday and I just wanted to let you know everything went smoothly, and your advice led us to having a great holiday.
Your recommendations on hotels were clearly helpful - the overall package to Tortuguero was good and impressively organised. The Arenal Springs is a good hotel but just a bit too squeakily efficient and tidy for my liking - I accept others would find this a plus point. Going to the Rincon de la Vieja area was a good choice - different, and we liked the Canyon de la Vieja with all its tatty edges - it had character. The activities were enjoyable too, led by very engaging guys. The CloudForest Lodge was clean, tidy and friendly - having the canopy tour on site was a good aspect. The Arenas del Mar was just perfect and a terrific way to finish - the setting, staff, culture, attitudes all exemplary - highly recommended to anyone.

Thanks again, and we would look to use you again if we go on a similar holiday - I guess your offer is similar to the bigger brands but we liked the flexibility and personal contact to help get it right for us. Graham Symonds

Kilimanjaro - Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you as we had an amazing time. Secondly the main reason I'm emailing you is to ask whether you might have any contact details of our guide and assistant guide Babu and Joseph. These guys were totally amazing and made our trip all the more special. We promised to keep in touch via email but the details Joseph gave me seem to be incorrect. I am told that somebody at your company knows Babu and has climbed the mountain with him in the past. I'd very much like to get in touch with these guys as we all feel we made good friends with two very special people. Anthony Browne

Kilimanjaro - Just to let you know we both made it to the top! Poor old Martin suffered big time with the effects of altitude but carried on regardless. I must say this was largely due to the excellent support from Felix & his team in particular Peter & Raffa who virtually dragged poor old Martin up the last slog to Stella Point! From there, Uhuru was achievable, absolutely fantastic!

Felix was superb and I believe did make a difference and helped tremendously to our success. Everything on the mountain worked a treat and absolutely no complaints from us on that score. In fact, we even enjoyed a home cooked meal with Felix and his family on our last day and ended up in Felix’s bar in the afternoon – oh dear! He has become a good friend and I’m sure contact will continue between us now.

I will complete your online questionnaire once I have caught up with the dreaded emails!! Certainly, I would not hesitate to recommend Footloose to any of my family, friends or colleagues and may I personally thank you for all your efforts and advice which made our trip what it was and one that will stay with us for the rest of our days. Botswana - We must have been the luckiest group! During the two weeks we saw everything you could wish to see, all at very close range - lions, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, crocs, elephants by the 100, giraffes, warthogs, buffalo and every antelope you can think of! The bird life was remarkable with a list too long to mention. There were so many highlights - like cruising Zambesi and Chobe rivers, helicopter over Vic falls and a Cessna over the Okavango delta. Borneo - The trip was better than we expected, we had an amazing time. This as due to the amount of wildlife we saw, orangutans in the wild, turtles, monkeys, insects, snakes and this was due to how good our guides were. The mountain was also amazing and our visit to the longhouse was an immense amount of fun. J Dryburgh

Tibet - As I told you on the phone it was a wonderful trip – one which I thought I would never be able to do, which made it all the more special. One of the many highlights was flying to Lhasa and rising above the clouds and seeing Everest for the first time. The only annoying thing was the hotel lift not working in Lhasa and with the altitude I was struggling by the time I reached my fourth floor room. Thanks for all your help – will come and have that cup of coffee one day.
