The Andes in Ecuador and beyond

The Andes are the longest mountain range in the world containing the highest peaks outside the Himalaya. In South America as a whole there are treks amongst the Inca ruins of Peru, the volcanoes of Ecuador and the ice caps of Patagonia. For those who want to climb straightforward high peaks, the area is unrivalled for accessible and straightforward summits.

In Ecuador the Andes are isolated snow-capped volcanoes, many of which are still active. For the strong walker this is probably the best place on Earth to get very high easily.

Ecuador rainforest and wildlife

The snows drain eastwards into the Amazon basin and here there is untouched rainforest, only accessible by canoe. There are a number of camps and lodges in the rainforest where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the deep forest and its wildlife. In some areas tribal people still live traditionally and there is often the opportunity of visiting them and learning something about their culture.

The Galapagos Islands

A visit to Ecuador would not be complete without a visit to the Galapagos Islands with its amazing and unique wildlife. Tours of the Galapagos Islands are available on boats of all grades and last 3, 4 or 7 nights.

Departures are from Quito in Ecuador and can be on any day of the week. Please contact us for more details.
