Discover unspoilt Evia Island
Spend several days exploring by boat
See villages, coves and islands
You'll spend half of your trip exploring by land and half by sea.
The attractive island Evia, still remains largely undeveloped. From
your hotel base, you'll explore an old Venetian Fortress, tiny villages
and quiet coves. Then, boarding a kaiki (a traditional wooden fishing
boat), you'll take to the sea, discovering fishing villages, bays
and islands.
Each evening you'll moor in a different harbour where you're free
to enjoy the typical Greek atmosphere of local tavernas and restaurants.
There's a great balance of relaxation and exploration.
Itinerary
Day 1. Fly to Athens
Fly to Athens. Drive and ferry to Evia Island.
Day 2. Karystos & Castello Rosso
Explore Karystos, Castello Rosso and nearby villages.
Day 3. Platanistos
Drive to Platanistos. Explore valley and swim in coves.
Day 4. Platanistos
Free to relax - Optional day trip to Athens Acropolis.
Day 5. Sail to Nea Styra
Board kaiki (wooden fishing boat) and sail via Niborio Bay to Nea
Styra.
Day 6. Sail to Panagia
Sail to Panagia via St George's Bay.
Day 7. Sail to Ole
Sail via Petali islands to Ole; visit Maruari fishing village.
Day 8. Athens to London.
Ferry and drive to Athens; fly to London.
Is it right for your family?
Your hotel base is mid-range standard. The kaiki is a traditional
Greek vessel and, although not originally designed for tourism,
it provides a great way to explore the islands. There are cabins,
but many people sleep out on deck under the stars. The emphasis
of the trip is on relaxation.

The family trips are designed to appeal to
children with lots of varied activities. There are usually
4 - 6 families and they work well for single parents. Many
of the groups have special teenage dates, so please ask
for these.
All prices include air fares from London.
