Ethiopia is unique and secluded in its highland fastness. It possesses
some of the most impressive yet little-known architecture to be
found anywhere - particularly at Lalibela where the rock hewn churches
have been described as the 'Eighth Wonder of the World'. The landscape
is equally memorable as Ethiopia is home to the finest mountain
scenery in all Africa as well as the delightful Tississat Falls.
In January 2006 and 2007 this trip has added interest in that it
coincides with the colourful Timkat Festival while in September
2006 we can enjoy the less-visited Meskal Festival.
