From Lilongwe, you'll visit the pottery town of Dedza where you
can try your hand at making an African pot. Then stay on a tea estate
(and see how tea is picked) before climbing to the cool of the lofty
Zomba Plateau.
Back in the lush lowlands, Mvuu Camp is great to watch hippos,
crocs and elephant and learn about Liwonde's wildlife. At Cape McLear
you can relax on Lake Malawi's balmy shores and try various watersports:
swim, snorkel, water-ski, windsurf or scuba dive.
Itinerary
Day 1/2. Fly to Lilongwe
Fly to Lilongwe; stay at Dezda (pottery).
Day 3. Blantyre
Blantyre - visit old capital; continue to Satemwa tea estate.
Day 4. Zomba Plateau
Zomba Plateau, walk in forest.
Day 5-7. Liwonde National Park
Mvuu Camp in Liwonde NP; game drives, boat safaris & bush skills.
Day 8. Cape McLear
Drive to Cape McLear, Lake Malawi.
Day 9. Activities on lake Malawi
At Lake Malawi - activities on the lake.
Day 10. Senga Bay
Drive to Senga Bay; wood carving and visit village school en route.
Day 11/12. London via Lilongwe
Drive to Lilongwe and fly to London

A relaxed family tour through one of Africa's friendliest countries.
Accommodation is in rustic but comfortable tented camps and lodges,
plus hotels and simple guesthouses. Most travelling days are relatively
short. Watersports are optional, so you can be as active or relaxed
as you want.

4 - 6 families and they work well for single parents. Many
of the groups have special teenage dates, so please ask
for these.
