This classic adventure will simply take your breath away. From wonderful
old Kathmandu you'll be whisked off to Pokhara to see the incredible
views of the famous 'Fishtail' - a sacred mountain in the Annapurnas.
You'll enjoy a 'mini-trek' - a one day expedition into the hills
with an overnight camp near a spectacular lookout - visit typical
Nepali villages, have a chance for white-water rafting, and then
explore the jungle at Chitwan, by jeep and elephant-back. A brilliant
itinerary interspersed with learning experiences for your children
about Nepali life. Making pottery, learning to climb, meeting a
Sherpa...
Itinerary
Day 1/2. Overnight flight to Kathmandu
Day 3. Kathmandu
In Kathmandu. Walking tour of old Kathmandu. Pottery making.
Day 4/5. Trisuli Centre
Drive to Trisuli Centre; village visit. White-water rafting. Continue
to Pokhara.
Day 6. Annapurna Footlhills
Easy walk in the Annapurna foothills to overnight camp, boulder
climbing.
Day 7. Pokhara
Walk to Pokhara; end of trek party with local children.
Day 8. Bandipur village
Drive to Bandipur village. Continue to Royal Chitwan National Park.
Day 9 & 10. Chitwan National Park
In Chitwan; elephant-back rhino watch and game viewing on foot and
by jeep. See wildlife by canoe and then bathe elephants! Also village
walk and Tharu Stick Dance.
Day 11. Chitwan to Kathmandu
Drive to Chitwan regional airport at Bharatpur and fly to Kathmandu.
Day 12. Fly to London

This trip is suitable for any family with a sense of fun and adventure.
Our day-walk and overnight stay is not challenging and is taken
at a very leisurely pace. Porters can carry kids in panniers if
necessary! Fresh bedding and mattresses are provided for our night's
camping. White-water rafting can be done by children, but you can
opt out if you're not sure - you can decide when you get there.
Accommodation is comfortable.

The family trips are designed to appeal to
children with lots of varied activities. There are usually
4 - 6 families and they work well for single parents. Many
of the groups have special teenage dates, so please ask
for these.
All prices include air fares from London.
