A full service camping safari across the endless plains of the
Serengeti and the natural wildlife enclosure of Ngorongoro Crater
A wildlife enthusiasts dream, the Serengeti, Tanzania's primary
National Park has wide open grasslands stretching as far as the
eye can see. Spot lions, elephants, rhino and buffalo, and if really
fortunate, the elusive leopard. In contrast, the walls of the Ngoronogoro
Crater provide a home for both animals and humans alike - this has
been the case for millennia and we can discover its early history
at one of the most important prehistoric sites, Olduvai Gorge. This
journey from Tarangire National Park to the Serengeti will take
us through varied habitats, and what better way to immerse ourselves
in this environment than to camp, taking in the sights and sounds
of this fabulous country at all times of the day.
Itinerary
Day 1 Depart London.
Day 2 Arrive Kilimanjaro, transfer to Arusha.
Day 3 To Tarangire N.P. for full day game drive, we spend the night
in the park.
Day 4 Early morning game drive in Tarangire N.P., returning to camp
for lunch, followed by another game drive in the afternoon.
Day 5 Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping for picnic
lunch. Afternoon game drive in crater. We camp tonight in a private
campsite near the crater.
Day 6 Morning visit to Olduvai Gorge; head into Serengeti N.P. for
an afternoon game drive.
Day 7 Full day game drive in Serengeti.
Day 8 Early morning game drive in Serengeti, after lunch we enjoy
another game drive, before our late afternoon flight to Arusha.
Day 9 Free morning in Arusha; afternoon we transfer to the airport.
Day 10 Arrive London.
