From the spectacular limestone seascape of Halong Bay to the frenetic
streets of Saigon, Vietnam is a country full of interest and surprises.
The cities are an assault on all the senses: noisy, colourful, aromatic
and totally absorbing. We tour Hanoi by cyclo and see an unforgettable
water puppet show. We have quieter time also, snorkelling at Nha
Trang, exploring the fascinating Mekong Delta by boat and cycling
past vibrant green paddy fields near Hoi An. We also have the chance
to enjoy the superb Vietnamese cuisine and practise our chopstick
skills (try the fried scorpion if you dare!).
Itinerary
Day 1 Depart London.
Day 2 Arrive Hanoi. Rest of day free.
Day 3 Morning tour of Hanoi including a cyclo tour around the Old
Quarter. Afternoon free. Evening at Hanoi's famous water puppet
show.
Day 4 To Halong Bay for a cruise amongst spectacular limestone formations.
Overnight on boat.
Day 5 Morning kayak and cruise in Halong Bay. Afternoon return to
Hanoi.
Day 6 Fly to Danang and explore caves in Marble Mountain. To Hoi
An for walking tour and evening cooking class.
Day 7 Cycle through countryside and past local markets. Afternoon
at beach or hotel swimming pool.
Day 8 Fly to Nha Trang and visit Thap Ba Hot Springs.
Day 9 Day cruise around offshore islands with swimming and snorkelling.
Day 10 Morning at leisure. Afternoon fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
Day 11 Morning tour of Saigon with visits to Reunification Palace
and Ben Thanh markets. Afternoon at the excellent Dam Sen Water
Park.
Day 12 Explore the Mekong Delta by boat, visiting a floating market
and local villages. Overnight in local homestay.
Day 13 Morning walk through the island's fruit orchards and navigate
small canals in a traditional sampan. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 14 Excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Afternoon free.
Day 15 Free day for last minute shopping and relaxation. Evening
depart Saigon.
Day 16 Arrive London.

The family trips are designed to appeal to
children with lots of varied activities. There are usually
4 - 6 families and they work well for single parents. Many
of the groups have special teenage dates, so please ask
for these.
All prices include air fares from London.
